| The Sandwich Community School for Early Learning was developed to meet the need for quality programs for children in the Sandwich area. Some parents opt for a 1/2-day early childhood program while others enroll their child in a full-day program. Flexibility of scheduling offers varied options to benefit both parent and child.
The Sandwich Community School for Early Learning provides a learning environment dedicated to meeting the needs of children and their families.
The program creates trusting, caring surroundings where each child can grow socially, emotionally, physically and intellectually.
Every child is encouraged to explore ways to develop self-esteem, personal responsibility and become a life long learner. |
Curriculum
Teachers develop the curriculum according to the needs and interests of the child.
Teachers prepare a safe, nurturing environment:
. . . where the child is given a variety of experiences and may choose areas of individual interest.
. . . where activities invite play and enrich the mind.
. . . where the child can experiment and risk
. . . where the child can experience success and develop a positive attitude of self.
. . . where the classroom is rich with language. Stories, songs and opportunities for self-expression abound.
. . . where scientific discovery is encouraged.
